Lednice and Valtice. Both well preserved castles of aristocratic family Lichtenstein’s with famous park, wine cellars. Lednice castle is listed in UNESCO heritage sites. Both castles are located up to 30 minutes from Mikulov. Permanent exhibition of 100 best wines produced in Czech Republic is located in Valtice castle. There is possibility of tasting and buying of all wines showed in exhibition.

Třebíč (UNESCO city) with large historical Jewish quarter, preserved historical downtown. The city is located up to 1.5 hour drive from Mikulov. An important cultural and historical event for the town was the year 2003 when the St. Procopius´ basilica and the Jewish Quarter with Jewish cemetery were incorporated into the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. These monuments are the proof, that Jewish and Christian communities could live side by side, which was one of the reasons for entry into the prestigious list. These sights became already the 12th UNESCO monument in the Czech Republic and Třebíč is the third UNESCO site of the Vysočina region.
Austerlitz (Mound of Peace). The memorial has been erected at the site of the bloody "battle of three emperors" which took place on the 2nd of December, 1805 near Slavkov, better known in Europe under the German name Austerlitz. Here, the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte defeated the numerically superior Austrian-Prussian army led by the Austrian emperor Franz II. and the Russian czar Alexander I. All combating parties signed a truce at the castle of Slavkov on 6th of December. The Mound of Peace in Praka on the Slavkov battlefield was built according to the project drafted by J. Fanta during 1910 - 1911.

For Sunday, we have again two trips for the speakers, accompanying persons and our personal guests.
Mikulčice: historical place with excavations from early period of our history.
From the sixth until the tenth century, a Slavic fortified settlement existed 3 km away from the modern village Mikulčice. The settlement was one of the main centers of the Great Moravian Empire, plausibly its capital city. Mikulčice is up to 1 hour from Mikulov.

OR
Pálava biospheric reservation. Hiking trip across the most spectacular natural place in South Moravia, reef Pálava. It is the heart of VOC Pálava, heart of UNESCO biospheric reservation. There are ruins of two castles, we can see both. There are marked pathways, good shoes are necessary. However profile is hilly, there are no really difficult parts.

Sunday evening, June 15: |
All speakers, accompanying persons and our personal guests will be invited to the best Moravian winery Sonberk. Sonberk is located in the middle of the vineyards. From winery is splendid view to Pálava reef and water dam around. The dinner will be prepared by the chef of the famous Prague restaurant Le terroir Mr. Punčochář, who will come with his crew to cook just for us.
